Here are a couple "new" picks of mine that are actually old picks, as it seems most every coin that has been skyrocketing lately is some old pick of mine. So I did some digging into some of my old recommendations. ie: I recommend Verge VXG before it was even called Verge at 1 sat, and after. Although I sold too early, but that is what I get for listening to traders too much when I am much more of a buy and hold investor.
1 - Zclassic, why? Privacy coins are hot, Zclassic is the first fork of Zcash without the 20% founders. Fundamentals were strong when I first recommended this and people did amazing that held. I sold for profits some time ago, but I think now is the time to get back in.
Here is an old Tweet and one of the reasons I bought in on Zclassic long ago, this is still true however. Zcash is one of the best privacy coins, but some people just hate founder's rewards and Zclassic has none of that, and it is the first fork of one of the best two privacy coins.
The project has been languishing, but Rhett Creighton is now teaming up with the original Zclassic team so things are going to improve. Rhett is one of those young Silicon Valley tech people and has a degree from MIT.
This is where it starts to get really interesting. It appears they are going to rebrand Zclassic to Bitcoin Private, and perhaps somehow distributing coins in some manner to Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash people, still unclear on that. Now, I dislike brand heists, but Bitcoin Cash is now on Coinbase and coming to Bitpay, and will be successful, so there is no doubt they are profitable as can be, and we all want some profits now and then.
2 - Aeon, why? Aeon is also a privacy coin and is run by Smooth, a MONERO developer. Aeon is sort of a mobile version of Monero, with some changes and active development. Monero, along with Zcash, I would consider the two of the very best privacy coins. I don't have any information about if or when Aeon will ever take off, but I know if it does I better be holding some when it happens.
3 - Icon, why? After I posted my last Steemit Blog of picks and shared elsewhere, several people recommended Icon to me (and many others). After checking out their recommendations this was the best one, so I bought it and I am already up quite a bit. Even so, I suspect this one is going much higher and looks like a great long-term hold and investment.
Thanks for the tip on ZCL; I'm not sure of the long term viability of the project yet but a rebrand is very likely going to increase market cap.
Which is currently under $20 million. !!!
As it is the first fork of Zcash and Zcash is one of the best anon projects, I think it is certainly viable speculatively. Network effect and real world use is an entirely different situation, but I suspect this one will last one way or the other. Just for trading and mining, or maybe something more.

good post james, but why zclassic not zencash and xvg ...also ICON has very low volume trading and marketcap, i think you mean ICX not ICON the symbol
XVG is going to burn so many people. ZCL rebrand to bitcoin private with a 1:1 BCP for each ZCL you own, PLUS a free BCP for every BTC...could be a game changer. It's not guaranteed, but with such a low cap, it's definitely worth a punt
you mean zclassic r going to rebrand to bitcoin private , any source and when
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/zclassic/#social
The name of the project is Icon, the ticker is ICX, so I mean both.
Zencash is great but I was looking for something everyone else does not already know about that is lower priced. XVG, I don't post about cryptos that have already skyrocketed pretty much ever, and if I was holding one that went up 3000% I would have sold.
Good information James! Thanks and Merry Christmas to you!
