RE: Promoting Steem on Facebook After the Cryptocurrency Ads Ban!

in #zappl7 years ago

Thanks once again @jerrybanfield.

Did they say why they are banning crypto ads? I get that some cryptos and schemes within are dodgy/scams.

On another note, I don't think the steem platform is capable of taking over FB is it? I don't know enough about it but it seems there is not the capability for privacy on steem. Eg to have only your friends see a post, to have a group where only members can see etc.

Peter I think we can completely put Facebook out of business in 5 or 10 years on Steem!

Hahha can't deny that excites me. An evil thought perhaps lol. One question i've had since I started investigating this incredible platform is how hard it would be to add FB functionality? Building various interfaces on top of the platform such as steemit and busy is one thing but the privacy/group aspect of FB would be a core change wouldn't it?

Best

BTW I'm sure it would be far quicker than 5-10 years once the functionality is there. Things like this in this day and age move very quickly. It's a no brainer - same functionality but we get the payout not the shareholders. The question is when to short FB shares :)
