Fear is just an illusion and it is not real.
In this 21st century, if you look around as we go about our daily business, you will notice that we allow fear, worry, and doubt to dominate and define our lives. We allow them to steal our joy, our sleep, and our precious dreams. The only difference between you and the successful people you admire is that they are willing to work and move through their fears in order to get where they want to be. Fear is an emotional response induced by a perceived threat, which causes a change in brain and organ function, as well as in behavior. If you don’t learn how to face your fear it will grip your mind, body, and spirit. It will wage a war against you and your dreams.
Four tips to help you overcome your fear:
Be aware:
Before you can begin overcoming fear, you have to be aware that your fears are causing havoc in your life. It is easy to get so attached to your thoughts and feelings that you think they are all that exist, which couldn’t be further from the truth. When you try to ignore your fear, it grows. When you face it, it shrinks. Sometimes merely stating what your fear is gives you the strength to deal with it.
Positive thought:
Whenever fear strikes, flip it over. Instead of thinking of something bad that can happen, think of something positive.
Negative thoughts are the stepping stone of fear, while positive thoughts lead you to success.
Belief:
Strengthen your belief in yourself by reflecting on the last three years of your life and every success you have experienced. Bring the same drive, persistence, and talent into now and allow it to inspire and motivate you.
Focus:
Focus your attention on being ready, willing, and prepared for the beauty, wonder, connections, good fortune, and favorable circumstances that are yours if you are willing to work and be open to it.
Sometimes through the darkest skies the brightest stars reveal themselves and shine. Feeling fear is human, but I assure you conquering it will make you feel empowered, courageous, and proud.
