Many more police officers are deployed to Toronto after the police service received "unconfirmed information".
The police presence is increased, including near the CN Tower, located in the center of the Queen City.
Officers were also deployed near Canada's Wonderland theme park in Vaughan, about 45 minutes northwest of Toronto.
Neither the source of the information received nor the exact content has been confirmed.
The Ontario Premier's Office, Doug Ford, said he is aware of the "potential threat" and says he is following the situation closely.
