YouTube iOS App Vertical Video Support Coming!

in #youtube7 years ago

With the announcement made via Twitter, Google announced the future of vertical video support for its YouTube iOS app.
We keep our smartphones at a steep position for most of the day. In this way, we record many instant videos vertically. Unfortunately, the videos we recorded vertically are in 16: 9 format on YouTube, and we can never watch them in full screen.

Google announced that it will bring vertical video support to its iOS app with tweet from Team YouTube Twitter account. So we'll get rid of unnecessary black stripes on the sides of the vertical videos.

When you open any vertical video on YouTube, the YouTube video player's interface will extend right below the screen. The video will then be displayed in its original format. If you want to read the comments you will return to the standard dimensions of the player.

YouTube will only offer vertical video support for iOS devices at this time. But we can expect to come to the Android app later. At this point, the different display formats available on the Android platform will make YouTube difficult.

It's unclear at the moment when vertical video support will come into the YouTube iOS application. But if we drop the fact that Google is publishing an official description for the feature, we can say that iPhone users will not wait too long.
