Yep... lol whatstrending
I've been with Phil for over 6 years. Fantastic evolution of his channel. He got crippled by the Discovery Digital Network and some more BS. So now he is working on funding his work from the community - more independent from YouTube add revenue. Not leaving YouTube see quote from his patreon:
We will start by hiring and building out the existing channels to make more content for EVERYONE and using that as a launch pad for the news network. Expect to see new and OLD faces. hint hint wink wink
Also on top of supporting us and providing stability and safety for a show and genre that has been increasingly demonetized and targeted on Youtube we will be:
Taking our 4-5 days a week Philip DeFranco Show, and getting the channel to 7 videos a week. This opens up the opportunity to deep dive into complex topics, create mini-docs, bring experts in fields on for new segments and podcasts.
Take our 2 days a week PhillyD channel, to 5-7 days a week. Providing more Behind the Scenes videos that show the journey we are about to go on and all sorts of new experimental content. Interviews, podcasts, debates, breakdowns, and more!
And a BIG NOTE: This is a massive experiment we are undergoing in public, so if there are new features, other offerings, new tiers, or anything you think would be awesome for us to embrace, feel free to throw them out to me. A big part of this movement is a focus on collaboration and embracing our little community. :)
