WTH YouTube Key Words Demonetization????

The past few months many channels have had problems with YouTube demonetizing certain videos. This happens a lot to us and many times we can not figure out WHY? A video about restaurants at a beach town, “NOT suitable for all advertisers”? I have seen several other channels complaining about the same issues.
My YouTube channel content is about traveling around Philippines. Maybe a few years from now outside the country, hopefully. My videos are just about my travels and everything I see that is interesting to film. Rural life in Mindanao which is often requested from my viewers who wants to see Mindanao or retire to the Philippines.

If you've made any google YouTube content in the past few months. You probably realized that if you list anything that wouldn't fit on the cartoon network you would get flagged. Sometimes not even the cartoon network.... You realize that tags, description and thumbnails can get your video flag as not suitable for all advertisers.

This has been incredibly frustrating. I made a video of us in the mall in manila going to different restaurants and that video was flagged. WHY?.... We're not sure but we think because we said Asian a few times and I was standing in a dress on the street that the algorithm presumed it was about prostitutes in Manila or some such subject. The video was flagged but not at first. YouTube waited until after we published the video everything was going well we went to bed woke up the next day and had quite a few comments. Then we looked at studio creator app and saw the yellow dollar sign. This what shows that YouTube has flagged your video. YouTube does not tell you why they flagged. They just flag it and you have to try and figure out what you could have possibly done to offend the algorithm.

So you can go to the monetization tab and request a review of your video. However before we click the request review button we always go back to the tags and description to look for any words that could possibly be presumed offensive by the most sensitive social justice warrior in the world. We delete those words and substitute them with random soft gentle happy feel good words. After we searched the video title, description and tags we then pressed the request review button and hold our breath. Several times probably over half the video will be re monetized and all is well.

The rest of the time it stays flagged then we have to hope that the video will get to 1000 views within the first 7 days in order to get a real person to come.

We use some code words you may start seeing in some of our videos "happy times" which means really "anything". Anything from "nightlife to bars". We have started removing "sexy" and inserting "cute". We had a bunch of videos on white beach and we are pretty sure the algorithm thought we were racist so I started removing the space between white and beach or removing White completely. We have also stopped using the word Asian. This seems to have worked but still very frustrating to have the video flagged for the first day when most of the views come in.

We have started using code words like:
"Girls to Friends"
"Terrorist to Other People or those other guys"
"White Beach to Puerto Galera Beach"
"Nightlife to Happy Times"
"Red Light to Walking Street"
"Videos to Vlog"
"Money to Coins"
We saw a video that was completely about him walking around and talking to bar girls. His video was very sexy but he did not put any tags and his title was very non descriptive.
We are testing lady boy because lady boys are a protected group according to google and YouTube. They really don't tend to flag those videos however if you put "prostitute or sexy girls" you really have to replace that with "fun friends" or maybe "cute girl" but still saying girl definitely increases your odds of getting flag "fun friends or cute friends" seems to work better. When we can't figure out what words made them to demonetize the video we just delete the description and tags. You can put them back later when its fixed.

Last January 16, 2018 they announced the new eligibility requirements. As soon as the creator reach the 4,000 hours watch and 1,000 subscribers will be monetize. I got monetize before from the 10,000 views. As of now until February 21, 2018 all of your videos will be unmonetize.
SO,,, we have put up some Angeles City Videos to get more watch time with hopes of getting to 4,000 hours before 20th of February. Not our normal type of video but that is what they are focusing on. These types of videos seem to get a lot of views and watch time. With many getting millions of views. We just need to get to 4k then we can go back to making videos we enjoy.
After that announcement I ask for help from my viewers. To help me advertise my channel and to gain subscribers. As of January 20, 2018 my subscribers are about 800 up and down. But now I have 2,250 subscribers thanks to my viewers. I have received quite a few messages from my subscribers that they don't want me to stop. As they enjoy the info about the beauty of Philippines. I appreciate their support. Thank all of you very much.
