RE: YouTube star Philip DeFranco is leaving YouTube and why that is good news for Steemit.com

in #youtube8 years ago

The worst thing about video hosting is that it for the most part still has to be centralized, but I am fairly certain the image hosting that is now part of steemit is also centralized. Those are points of attack if they ever did want to censor steemit. Yet, even having something centralized that people could escape youtube and come here is better than nothing. Bitchute is decentralized which is why I recommended it, but I know it relies on torrent technology. Ideally, it might be a good idea to partner with them and determine how to embed those videos on our steemit posts.

Those are some really good thoughts... perhaps send these to Andrarchy and bounce those ideas off of him... who knows, maybe it gets in front of the steemit.inc guys?!
