Thank You Steemit for Your YouTube Support, but DTube is the Future!

in #youtube7 years ago

A few days ago, I shared with you the troubling email notification that I received from Google and their ridiculously propagandized YouTube platform. Due to the fact that I have fewer than 1,000 subscribers, and less than 4,000 hours of watchtime, parent company Google is kicking me out of their YouTube Partner Program.

Many of you have responded by subscribing to my YouTube channel, and I want to thank you. Your support has pushed me closer to the 1,000 sub target. I also want to call special attention to @btc-central and @silverfortune for providing additional help in getting me closer…thank you very much!

At the same time, I admit that I feel extremely slighted by Google and YouTube. The minnow video blog creators is what makes YouTube tick. I don’t want to hear about public opinion about crap that I see in pop culture and the mainstream media. What I actually want are subjects that don’t get any media coverage – conspiracy theories, positive bitcoin coverage, even stuff like flat earth theory and other “out there” taboo topics.

You don’t have to agree with any of these subject matters, surely! But I love the freedom that this type of video blog content is available for anyone to consume. But with YouTube playing the video content Gestapo, I can’t see any incentive to remain, other than a lack of viable options.

Well, thanks to DTube – a video blog platform using the Steemit / STEEM blockchain – we now have a creation channel that also pays!

I certainly don’t want to discount the efforts that my fellow Steemit members have exerted to help me on my YouTube endeavors. I will continue to use YouTube as a prime marketing tool. But in the end, that’s all it will ever be…a tool.

With DTube, I can see myself growing, fueling the desire to push myself creatively and to provide both profitable and entertaining, thought-provoking content. Plus, I can sustain myself and justify the investment towards DTube as a genuine revenue source.

When I received the dreaded email from Google, I was concerned that I could no longer use YouTube’s revenue source as a legitimate business venture. That would severely impact my ability to buy assets for showcasing on YouTube, since these purchases would technically not go towards a revenue-generating activity.

DTube literally saves my rear end! Through their platform, I can legitimately state that I am making content for the purpose of revenue generation.

Now I’m off to make my first DTube video! Stay tuned!
