Have you ever disliked a YouTuber that everyone else seems to like? For me, that would be YourMovieSucks. I think I enjoyed his reviews when I was 15 but now I just see his stuff having like the ruthless opinions of Anthony Fantano with the grease of ARTV. I still like some of his videos from time to time (his Lion King review is the most intricate Disney beatdown I've ever seen), but for the most part I just think he's so cynical and nitpicky it'll make CinemaSins blush.
Many of his reviews to me are nothing more than ways to manipulate people into losing their enjoyment of movies and vibing with them
There's just something about YouTube movie reviewers that rub me the wrong way---maybe they're too political, maybe they're just flat out weird, maybe they're just too nitpicky---and people like Critical Drinker and HiTop I just cannot care less about. What I'm gonna say next will surprise a few people here but I really prefer Chris Stuckmann and RLM as my favorites.
Chris seems like a genuinely nice guy who's very passionate for movies, and many of his reviews make me comfortable, while RLM strikes the perfect balance between thought-provoking and funny
