If this wasn't a little sad it would be cute

I heard this little guy for over 20 minutes before I finally found him hopping in the grass. He was squawking rather desperately.

I do believe he was stuck. I saw him make just one attempt to fly. He wants back in the nest in the tree at the corner of our house.

Sure hope he perfected his flying skills today or his mommy came along and do whatever mommy birds would do!
