Lovely Lara exploring steem and the world

Hey fellow Steemers

My name is Lara from Berlin, Germany. My day job is in online marketing. I am new to this whole blockchain thing :) A friend told me about steem/steemit and I really like the idea of putting a dollar value to social media content!

Even though I am super interested in steem and blockchain in general this blog/profile will not be soley about tech and or fields related to it.
I will be trying to attend a lot of meetups here in Berlin and hang out with the community to learn about Steem. Because quite frankly, it is a little bit complicated and confusing yet :)
Blockchain in general is very interesting and I am not in it to make a quick buck but rather get ideas how it can be applicable to solve real world problems

But as mentioned above, this should also be about other things. What I mean by that? A lot of things! Besides a good covfefe traveling is one of my passions. Recently i did a roadtrip the the US with a friend of mine. We traveled through California, Nevada, Utah and Arizona. As someone from central Europe the landscape was breathtaking!

We started out in San Francisco.

Honestly, after what i heard i was not that impressed with the city. I actually did not think i would ever encounter more people who lost their minds than in Berlin. Also the prices were insane. So we spent most of the time around the Bay Area rather than in SF itself.

I have to say the Golden Gate bridge left me speechless. It was like I always imagined it.

Even cooler were the Muir Woods next to San Fran. I have never seen tree trunks this big.

One of the most impressive sights was definitely the Fire State Park in Nevada.

Again there are no deserts in Berlin, as you might have heard. It was really surreal and i felt a bit like in one of those old Hollywood movies. Did I mention i love movies? More about that in the future :)

Yes i know Matrix Reloaded was a disappointment, but Agent Smith remains one of my favourite movie villains :)

After that we went to L.A. There is a lot of controvesy about this town but i must say i really enjoyed it. Way more than San Fran.

I was chasing ducks all which really annoyed my friend after a while. Also the people in park knew right away i was not a local. Or maybe they thought i lost a bet and had had to put the prove on tape.

The holiday was all about hiking. We hiked up the Yosemite Glaciers Point, hiked down the Grand Canyon, went up a big hill in Palm Springs (by cable car, hihi), where we could see the San Andreas fault.

Even in the cities we hiked up all the hills and cliffs. There are not a lot of hills in Berlin ;) The only hill we have is a pile of rubble from WW2, haha.
Some of the hills were steeper than the graph of Steem over the last weeks :)

I am usually a very sporty girl, but it was very exhausting nontheless but most of all it was FUN :)

Anyway, one thing i really miss aswell about living in Berlin is the ocean. The last days we spent at
Carmel by the Sea, Monterey and Lobos Point. Look at these super cute seals one even has is guts hanging out but doesn't give a shit. I immediatly liked him :)
