Yongi's First Day of Adventure in the New Year

Magandang buhay and Happy New Year❤️

2026 is finally here, and it's looking great already.

We kickstarted it with a road trip in the north (Ilocos Norte), the birthplace of the current president, and one of the historical places in the country. It is known for its Spanish-era architecture (churches, bell towers), beautiful beaches and sand dunes.

Of course, our little Yongi had to come too! He was excited, but got tired along the way.

Well, he gotta have his pic on the Quirino Bridge in the south, for the second time around. He was also here over a year ago when he was just one.

Anyway, after arriving and checking in for a quick rest and refreshment, we went out for sightseeing. First stop was the Paoay Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake in the region.

The little guy behaved so well, and was still as we took some mementos of the visit.

Since the Malacañang of the North was already closed, we headed to the St. Augustine Church (Paoay Church), a 17th century structure. Of course, Yongi's being there had to be documented☺️

I may dedicate another post for the beautiful place, but this time, let me just share some snapshots of our little darling.

He's on the P in the photo above. Here's a closer look, blurry so forgive me. I should really invest on a better camera😊

And here's when his dada was carrying him on his back as we strolled around the church grounds.

Here's him at the end of the day. Exhausted from the long trip, he was down in bed for a night's rest.

It's been a wonderful first day of the year and we are on for fun as we spend some more days on this beautiful place.
