War Thunder looks amazing on Xbox One X.
few weeks ago, a listing for War Thunder appeared on the Xbox Store. The page stated that the game would launch on June 1, 2018, but developer Gaijin Entertainment said that this was a mistake on Microsoft's part. However, the fact that it was on the store was evidence enough that the game would be launching for Xbox One owners soon.
Today, in a rather surprising move, Gaijin Entertainment released War Thunder on Xbox One in early access form. If you don't want to wait for the free-to-play version, you can purchase the "Early Access Starter Bundle" for $19.99 and start playing. The game supports Xbox One X and achieves "4K Ultra HD" resolution on the console.
War Thunder is a popular military vehicle combat massively multiplayer online game (MMO). As with many MMOs these days, the game will eventually be free-to-play and feature cross-platform support. The title brings air, land and sea battles directly to your living room. According to Gaijin Entertainment, it also features carefully researched and reconstructed vehicles ranging from the Spanish Civil War to the Cold War period.
War Thunder offers over a thousand playable aircraft, armored vehicles, and ships. American, Soviet, British, German, Italian, Japanese and French military vehicles are represented in the game. The title gets regular updates too, so there's always fresh content to explore. It's great to see War Thunder finally make its way to Xbox One, especially after years of demand from the console's users. Hopefully it'll garner a lot of popularity on the system.
WAR THUNDER for the Xbox One will be released free-to-play later this year but Gaijin Entertainment has released early access bundles for those who want to get into the game before everyone else. The three early access bundles will give buyers immediate access to the game as well as bonus in-game content and access to the War Thunder Naval Battles Closed Beta.
The War Thunder early access bundle are available in Starter, Advanced, and Elite variants. All three will come with a set of unique decals, titles, in-game currency, premium account access, and at least one Xbox One exclusive premium vehicle. All three bundles will also come with the Thach's F2A-1 Buffalo aircraft (Rank 1, USA).
Along with the release of the War Thunder early access bundles for Xbox One, Gaijin Entertainment has also launched the War Thunder Naval Battles Closed Beta on all platforms. The Naval Battles Closed Beta adds naval warfare to the game and gives players access to almost 50 warships from the USA and Germany, with more coming in the future. A new progression system has also been released that will allow players to go through their research trees and unlock ships faster. Players who purchase a War Thunder Early Access Bundle for the Xbox One will also get access to the Naval Battles Closed Beta while those on the PlayStation 4 and PC will need to purchase early access to the Naval Battles Closed Beta.
