When a guy living near me thought it was just an innocent game with his son it turned out his day is going to be somewhat different than usual. Because his son wanted to play with him treasure hunting he decided to get a metal detector and help him search for the treasure on the hill he was living in. On the top of the hill was just happen to be a castle, bombarded by alies in WW2, assuming Germans posessing some anti-aicraft artillery in it.
Of course not every bomb hit the target but instead got burried under the ground for this lucky guy to find it. I don't know what he was thinking. I guess he thought that 250kg (550 pounds) bomb can't do much of the damage after spending so much time under ground so he decided to take it home. With all the best intentions he called the mayor suggesting him to showcase the bomb in some public place. After that authorities took over and decided to deactivate the bomb.
News about the bomb spread all over the country and it was like all people talked about these days. Funny yet somewhat scary was the fact that near his home there is a bar and people decided to go see the bomb bringing even some extra cash having a drink. I guess there's no better saying to visit your bar than a WW2 bomb.
Today the bomb was deactivated . Because it was too dangerous to move it anymore they decided to blow the most dangerous part of it under control just in vicinity of that guy's home. The explosion was quick and weak. Publicity was desapointed for the bang it made. Well, what can you do? :)
The most important thing is nobody got hurt. Hope the guy won't be punished too much.
Huh, to je pa blo razvpito, ja, ta tip pa tut, ne vem kaj bi mu rekel :)
My friend, are you from Slovenia? :D
Of course I am :) Nice to see I'm not the only one.
Yep haha good luck on here!
This is insane! I'd probably run away, the second I see a WWII bomb! Ahaha!
