I learned about my favorite writer, Nasu, and how he wrote Lost Belt 6. Lost belt 6 is 580k words long and is around 1.7 MB to download. In an interview, he said that the story was supposed to be a lot shorter, around 300k words more or less, but for some reason he felt like he couldn’t stop writing, so he kept on going and going, till the ending plot was completely different than what he had originally in plan. He kept it though because it was actually pretty good and had some great plot twist that made sense. Kind of makes me in the writing mood to go and write something that makes me passionate to keep on writing on and on.
