// SMALL NEWS // Sony Has Announced the Upcoming Arrival of a PlayStation Classic "Mini"

in #writing6 years ago

After having waiting, indicating "study the issue", Sony has decided to follow the lead of Nintendo. The promoter of the PlayStation pays tribute to its first home console officializing the marketing of a PlayStation Classic which takes again in line concept already tested on the NES Classic Mini and SNES Classic Mini: a miniature console with some iconic games from the historical console.

It was to be expected will say many players and indeed, we can not say that Sony surprises us particularly on this one. The Japanese company has indeed specified that a retro miniature console was going to be marketed for the Christmas holidays.

Logically, this console will revive the famous PlayStation. The PlayStation Classic - this is the name of the newcomer - even has an official release date: December 3 to celebrate the anniversary of this very first Sony console launch, marketed in Japan on December 3, 1994.

The PlayStation Classic brings nothing new to the concept initiated by Nintendo. So it will be a console design based on the original PlayStation, but much smaller: Sony says even 45% smaller. The machine will be delivered with two joysticks to connect to the two ports provided for this purpose. The console will also offer HDMI connectivity for playing on TV.

Sony does not innovate either in side games because the Japanese is like his competitor always incorporating twenty games to his machine. However, we do not have a lot of details on the planned games yet.

At present, only a few titles have been revealed namely Final Fantasy VII, Jumping Flash, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3 and Wild Arms. The full list of games should not be long, however we already have the price of this PlayStation Classic: 99 euros.

Are you as exited as I'm?? Don't hesitate to react in comment!

This is good info. I heard that Sega has the Mega Drive classic, and Nintendo has the N64 Classic ready to go as well.
