A friendly reminder: Steemit lives on the blockchain, and as such it creates an immutable record of every word, statement, gripe and insult, as well as occasional flashes of genius and revelation. There is a brief window of opportunity to edit or delete a message before it is recorded, but in general, everything is ETCHED IN STONE, so to speak. It preserves both the letter, and the spirit of your conversations. The blockchain rejects censorship, and that is one of its greatest strengths, but it places great responsibility on anyone who communicates on the platform.
Those of us who understand blockchain technology, its philosophical underpinnings and security strengths know this intuitively, but newcomers may benefit from a friendly reminder. You won't be censored here. But you can't easily take back your words, either.
