I come here to write
and get away from Facebook.
I found many of my posts on Facebook being deleted
or the rude comments that others make
very upsetting.
I write here though to express my thoughts
I am lucky if 1 or 2 people actually see it and comment.
I dont really understand this site at all..
Ive watched the videos, read the rules.. i am still lost
I am not here to make money, just offer quality material
sort out thoughts and maybe make a friend or two...
So far.. eh.. I might think this is not for me.
why do we feel the need to want be accepted on a social site
why do we need the pixles, smiling at us
are not the words enough?
used to be a diary or pen and empty page was our art
now we need to have likes, and coins, and upvotes and a following
what for??
If the following gets bigger then you are writing to respond to them vs yourself
or not.. who knows.
To sing to no one allows the voice to echo and vibrate in places it would not have
write, and post. we'll read it.
I shall second that to modify your pluralis majestatis, before you get into a row with somebody over how you dare to represent a "we" or anybody but your unique and special, and of course utterly free, self.
As you are beginning to realise: my sentiments, exactly. I am thinking of giving it till the end of the week.... Like I did last week... Darn, I avoided everything till now (FB, twitter, Instagram you name it, and I app with the neighbour, that's about it), but addicted anyway?
Are we too old for this nonsense? Too much in love with words? Too genuinely concerned about the loss of meaning?
We know we can't hope to educate the masses. We wouldn't even want to try. We know how easy it is to be misread. We feel the cries of all those who need some attention. I think I was happier in my solitude! It must be the ultimate test to truly finding silence without repressing the rumblings within.
love this... straight shooting. i am not about collecting upvotes.. i am more about ahhh just simply having a place to write that is not being watched, not being sold, and not being chased by the weber grill i happen to look up a year ago on amazon.
With you on that one! It's 60 inch tvs for me - and I didn't even do the looking!
