RE: The Hero's Journey- Framework for an Epic Steemit Post

in #writing7 years ago

I've heard that the Word could be a sound, just beyond our hearing, that holds the universe together. If true, it could be a clue to the power of our own voices. But yes, an epic comment in the works here!

An utterance of some kind? Maybe a hum...a song of making :)

The music of the spheres-- it's supposedly sounds like a bunch of bees humming.

I've read that also. Possibly a way to explain origins and beginnings. But also like you say, how things are held together. Which got me thinking of music, and octaves. I know I have seen reports on how that ties into the topic. It's interesting to me.

And so is your post. I enjoyed how you took the heroes journey - that core element of story telling - and made it into a post about itself. It's witty and clever.

There are a few videos out under the term 'cymatics' which show how different tones played beneath a flat plate would shape the loose salt that was scattered onto the plate into distinct geometric patterns. Each change in pitch would change the shape of the pattern, and it occurs to me then that those were just the sounds that we could audibly hear, maybe there's another tone, a sacred note, that shapes the geometries of galaxies, or atoms.

When I wrote the story, I made the intro and then wondered what my adversary might be in the tale, and remembered how I'm always pointing out how language is used to manage the mind of society. Describing it in words became the battle I suppose.

I've seen a few videos demonstrating cymatics. I had forgotten those until you reminded me. Cheers.
