Burglars broke into my flat!

I thought this in terror digging my bag, again and again, trying to find the key. A handbag is such a wonderful thing: you may find there almost anything. So, when you lose your keys there is still a hope that you’ll find them. They may hide in another pocket or between your stuff. You just need to dig deeper.

But not this time. My hope was fading with every second. I started to panic. I couldn’t remember myself closing the door in the morning. What if I left the key in the keyhole and burglars broke into my flat?! My friend tried to calm me down saying that they won’t close the door after the raid. Then, maybe neighbors saw the key and took it? But why didn’t they left a note? Panic. What should I do?

I shook everything out of my bag. I found the stuff I hadn’t see for a long time. There were no holes in the bag, so there was no way the key could slip out. I stood next to the door trying to remember the morning. And suddenly I realized that the last person who left the flat was my boyfriend, not me. It was him who closed the door. And I just forget my key at home.

Such a shame!🙈
