This is cool! I am deeply interested in ayahuasca, or dmt. I had a friend who went to Peru, same as you, with a spanish class, and stayed after his class came back to America. He bought a shotgun while there and traded it to a local shaman for a ahuasca ceremony. He did not tell me details of his trip, or visions, only that it involved water, and the coming scarcity of drinking water, and it changed his life so much that it convinced him to become a hydraulic engineer, which he is today.
