Im asking casue as you may have saw, im also writing a book (non fiction). And i have the cover ordred, but not other illustrations. Is it safe to use others and sourcing them?
I dont mean here on steemit, i mean generally, if i decide to publish

Hi @Serejandmyself. When the images are not commissioned or bought by me, I use work that is public domain or licensed under CC. Note I use public domain works here, but not on the book as published by Amazon, Apple, Barnes and Noble etc. I have commissioned several illustrations for this book and I have been publishing some of them here. Hope this helps. J.

Well kind of. Im still wondering as non fiction books have a much bigger amount of illustration than fiction. including graphs and so on )

If it's Public Domain or CC you can use it, if not, always ask the creator. Check out some non-fiction books in the same category and have a look at how they handle referencing other people's work. J
