Why write...?
Many answers could be given to that question. Yet here, we’ll consider one:
Because people are reading.
And they’re paying attention.
That’s right. Someone is trading a fraction of their life to take in the words we have to offer, for whatever reason(s).
So, what shall we deliver them in exchange...?
Another dosage of dime-a-dozen opinions and information that doesn’t really do all that much to enrich their experience? Or offer a gift, which upon opening, may transform the way they view the world, themselves, and shift consciousness to upgrade to a version of themselves they’ve been continually striving for, though may have needed the keys within our words to unlock...?
Why write...?
Because it’s an opportunity to serve.
Perhaps to pay forward priceless lessons, upon which implementing, they may shave time off their learning curve.
Perhaps to entertain, to put smiles on faces, to bring deep laughter to bellies, and to warm hearts.
Perhaps to inspire. To uplift spirits. To touch and move souls.
We could approach writing as a half-hearted pastime, doing it for the rewards, some praise, or the personal satisfaction of creative expression.
And we could also approach it as a sacred duty.
As a means of passing on insight which unlocks the genetic codes to activate higher potentials within readers.
As a vehicle for casting spells of good fortune and blessings through the transmission of wisdom which transforms minds upon encounter.
As an act of love, planting our words as the seeds of a legacy that shall live beyond us through the roots grown in the psyches of those we’ve touched, and in the fruits beared through the impact their influence has nourished.
Why write...?
Because it might just make a difference.
Large or small.
In ways we may never know, yet send ripples of the love fuelling it outward to change the world for the better.
In way we might never predict, yet be left in awe if we were to realize just how profoundly our gift of service has altered the course of others’ lives - just as ours have been altered by the words of our greatest teachers and mentors.
Because as we have had our lives magically transformed through the insight and information others had passed onto us through their writings, so too may we have such an effect on others through our words.
And maybe the impact never will be huge and dramatic.
Yet, who knows what small shift may lead to down the line - what small seeds we plant may sprout into year later, when all our words have been long forgotten.
Why write...?
Of course, these are only a few of many reasons. None any more right or wrong than the others.
Though, may we embrace this invitation to try these reasons on for yourself and see how they fit.
May we embrace the opportunity within each post/story/article written to offer a gift of immeasurable value to those paying their limited attention to reading.
May we serve through our actions of imparting words, which are to somehow better the lives of those whose eyeballs they graze, whose minds our ideas infuse with fresh perspectives and possibilities.
Or some shit.
Maybe we can just all make it up as we go, not giving such a huge fuck, and do it for the simple joy of the play...
At all times, people have found support in the actions and works of great personalities, whether it be Jesus, Leonardo Da Vinci or Hermann Hesse ...
Man needs a man, simply because we are weak.
We live in ignorance so we are looking for help, every written phrase, picture or symphony can become a support, remove the shroud from the eyes, help to see the beauty of the world, to become closer to freedom and love!
To be a support for others is the only justification for existence, the criterion of this activity is joy! Do you bring joy to others? If you without hesitation, sincerely can answer YES, then your life is not in vain!
beautifully-stated. 💗
Thanks, it's opportunity to serve😉
Why comment?
Because you want to let the writer know you've read it. Because you want to take some of your thoughts about the piece and add in some input to fuel discussion.
Because writers love to be read, and they love to see their content sprouted discussion.
Why comment?
Because without commenters and readers, Steemit would be a barren place, because by commenting and adding value you're helping the writer who shared that GIFT with you and you're making sure the knowledge he imparted on you isn't hitting stone walls.
Great piece Rok.
Cheers!
Sometimes emojis far more accurately convey how such comments make a person feel than words themselves:
☺️💓🙏
Amazingly said, Max.
Why reply to a comment ?
this might get ridiculous really soon, but I thought it was a fun exercise.
Why reply to a comment ?
Because you want to let the commentator know you actually read and value what he said about the main piece of content you both consumed.
Why reply to a comment ?
Because it makes a connection obvious and it would be the right channel to exchange opinion.
and even if I don't always upvote - as haven't been lately, because my voting power is currently low and trying to build it back up - quality comments stand out and get noticed.
while ignorant newbies spam "upvote follow me" crap everywhere, it's quality comments that draw me back to people's blogs to check out more of what they are producing. this is how support is won.
for example, take @spiritualmax... he invested the time and energy commenting good stuff consistently. I may not have upvoted it all. but he is now on my SteemVoter list, receiving continual support every time he posts.
bigger picture. ;-)
This is quite emotional and a very well written post! I feel this video matches your post:
My answer all the time:
Because good writing allows people to feel something deep inside they never knew existed.
I write to make them feel.
ok, my mind went to the gutter with that one. lol. :-D
yeah the mind goes along with the feels yo
Yusssssss!
I like to ponder and wander around casting spells too! Who knew all those elementary school spelling tests would prove so powerful a tool ;)
I reckon making it up as we go is really all we can do...
I was thinking to myself something similar, thanks for informing. My initial thoughts about this were more about, why write when you could do a video and achieve similar then I read Managing Oneself and made me realize there will always be a consumer for written content.
I know for sure programmers have to read and write instructions to machines and this interaction is not likely to disappear anytime soon.
If nobody reads it. Even you should write it. thanks for your post😁
I do it for the same reason that I go running. It's therapeutic and I sometimes feel more exhausted (and better) after writing than I do after a long run lol
I am one of those people who truly believes the best gift anyone can receive is a piece of paper and a pen/pencil. The possibilities of creation are limitless.
I think writing comes with a motive either to share or to inform, to destroy and to create ideas.. why I wrote comment? because I think we have the same thought on writing hehe..
How come you get so inspired, there is always a secret, I love this post and this what steemit deserves. I mostly love your motion pictures you really made good choices using those, I would love it even more if you included more, nevertheless you are a very nice content creator and this was a great content
Writing is a good opportunity to express what one has inside, knowing that on the other side there are people with a need to read, some time ago I wrote a material where I said that Steemit was my psychoanalyst, because I could express and take everything I had a long time ago. oppressing my chest, here I have told my personal life without taboo, that I lived from indigence and can overcome me and be what I am today.
Excellent post dear friend @ rok-sivante, very interesting the topic you have chosen.
I wish you a great day
You could have just said that.....😂
would kinda make for a rather short post, though. lol.
could be flipped into a meme for dMania, however... 🤔
Some times i write to express my feeling opinion which am pretty sure....and some i write to get to know wat others feel of kind of sitauation i am in....but writing is the best way to express yourself... @rok-sivante sir.. Needed some refreshing dsound this wekend..had a hell lot of hectic time at office due to month close..(people deman).waiting for it👍

@steemflow

It's really good the way you are giving a good message to the world,,,,
I love your post,,, thank you my dear friend for sharing with #Us,,,,,,, and very good job,,,keep it #Up,,,
Writing is a means of expressing good ideas to the world. It is a good habit, which people often cultivate to express their views, and possibly give the other people some content to read. As you have said, it is beneficial to share ones thoughts with those people who are interested, while getting your idea to spread into the nooks and crannies of the world.
I greatly appreciate your concept. I am a writer, @gboyegaogunmola. I am interested in reading articles, and writing my ideas for many people to read. I am writing articles on the "psychological aspect of man". I want people to solve the personal problems, through reading my "personality literature".
I think, people who really have good concepts and ideas should share their views and thoughts with those who haven't, so that these people can think about themselves, and bring out better worldviews and personalities. I believe, this is how the world of today should be.
Your writing have inspired me to write articles the more.
That's exactly a good reason why we should write "good" contents and put it out. Imagine if satoshi didn’t put his content out, imagine if those chapters of the bible was not written down, imagine if @ned and Co didn't write this program called steemit.
Good writings is never a waste, some day, sometime it will be of help to someone other, someday, a good write up can inspire a change.
Words are powerful, but words in ink is immortal.

Hello!
A few days ago you upvoted one of my articles about my group and a server I made to support the community.
I thank you for that.
This morning I found out that you have de-upvoted the same thing, but I fail to understand why.
If I insulted you in any way, I apologize.
I've got my account running on a bot that auto-upvotes several posts.
This week, I've started to review what it's been voting on, and removed several votes for various reasons.
Not sure which it was or why specifically it didn't pass my criteria. No insults, nothing personal, no apology necessary.
The post contained a loads of information what we are doing on the server to improve everybody's work and basically the newest actions we had like the contests, games and similar things.
We were so happy when you upvoted us I couldn't believe that post made 15 sbd...
Too bad you didn't like it in the end...
I am glad you took time to reply and explained and we are so glad it was nothing serious.
Have a wonderful day.
Writing is how to turn your thought into sentences and surely it will yield a feedback depend on what you create in your writing.
Writing it will never disappear in our lives, one, two and even dozens of times we have ever written. because writing has been required of us small, @rok-sivante.. hehe
"True masters @rok-sivante, I agree with you, there are many reasons why we should write, and I rotate": Writing is a writing communication, that is delivering messages (ideas, thoughts, feelings, information) through writing. Purpose Writing Function.
The purpose of writing in general is to convey and document ideas, thoughts, opinions, or feelings
This writing is very useful, there is a lot of contents of motivation in it, I like to read this, you have written well and put the picture well, but unfortunately I do not see the source of the image on your writing, is it your image? Have a nice day, I like to follow your writing. good luck master!
no, just got from Google images. I confess, I usually get lazy providing a source. However, I appreciate and admire the effort you appear to take in including the sources of your images, and commend you for setting such an example. 🙏
our community really appreciates each other's work, so, if it's not ours, then we have to put the source, I'm happy with your reply, thank you for coming to my blog, I also hope you will do the same in the future. we include the source on each post as a form of appreciating the work of others, it's very easy, we made the format like this, [source](copy link image addres), that's all, sorry, not my intention to teach you, thank you very much for all your responses, have a nice day, good luck .. 😊🙏💚 @rok-sivante, thank for support, i'm minnow.

Waw, the inspiration to keep writing.
Why write?
Because I want to share my experience of travel through photography, telling them out there how my area, the culture in my area, the tourist destinations in my area. Through writing and photography.
Thanks for sharing @rok-sivante
I like your posts
The power of the written word! Write because all you write down from my research turns into your reality. With the word you can bring clarity. And let it manifest in the physical space. You can control the direction of your life by writing stuff you want more of. Or making things more easy to understand just by getting text out of your head. It makes you pay attention and it will work on your subconsciousness in the background.
When I look back at stuff I wrote down a few years ago it all turns into my reality. It's truly amazing. I can see exactly what I was doing in any day since I write every single day. I can track how I am doing in life. And it's amazing because it truly is one of the best way for us to communicate clearly and get things out there without rushing it.
With daily speech things need to go faster. It's so much more shallow. With the power of the word we can have people be able to read it even when we aren't there. It's magical how it works. If we lose this ability to communicate then we will become dumber.
Writing a lot also makes you discover that abundance is real. Doesn't matter how much you write every day you will always have a new page of ideas. It truly never ends! You get to see what your brain is doing out on paper. Also see how different other peoples perception is and what they have noticed in the external world.
Because normal everyday conversation just doesn't cut it. I want to pour my heart out and give the world a piece of my mind in a good way. My creativity knows no boundaries and I hope to uplift and entertain a vast array of people who may be starved for the written word. Reading actual books is becoming a lost artform and we writers need to keep it alive every day. I am from New Orleans and have many stories yet untold for the world to soak in like a literary sponge. My only hope in this life is to write amazing stories for others to be inspired and spark a movement of creative fluidity.
Why reply!
Because is worth commenting
There exist a plethora of reasons to write, from displacing a person outside of their eyes reach, to taking an idea and reprising its meaning with our own. By aiming to augment another's world, we can paint words into pictures for the minds of our readers. We can give them experiences, flood emotions, build bonds and understandings with only a keyboard at hand to summon words.
Why write?
and might is far greater than won't.
❤ ❤ ❤ 🌠
@ rok-sivante you are so incredible, let me re-post in my blog into Indonesian translation, because this is very useful for me and others around me. thank you

This is not advertasing. I just want to learn and I will delete it if you want.
Perhaps to inspire. To uplift spirits. To touch and move souls.
The same exact reason why I decided to put my writings out here ! Well done!! 👐
