In The Heights, Shadows, Depths, And Dimensions Beyond: The Search For It All

in #writing7 years ago (edited)

Mankind is a strange beast, any way you put it it.

The things we put ourselves through... the ways we create and destroy... the adventures we embark on...

The degree of complexity of factors driving this collective journey, perhaps unfathomable.

Where we started, where we're going, and why... perhaps impossible to comprehend, considering the billions of split paths interweaving as we each make our way through this lifetime - impacting others' - sewing our marks on the fabric of history and destiny as they collide in a singularity encompassing time and space in a definitive whole.

In the evolution of our consciousness, we've sought answers. In our confusion, we've searched for Truth and wisdom to make sense of what appears as chaos and disorder. No shit - the world is complete with its madness, despite what wishes we might have that all return to peace, love, and light. Some might dwell in the darkness. Others aim to enlighten. Simultaneously, near 8 billion human lives unfold each with their particular approaches to contribute to the shared story board - each bringing forth a manifestation of the conflicting forces into the space to be experienced by themselves and others, whether aware or on autopilot.

Questions beckon...

What is the purpose of it all? What can we do to change the course?

Perhaps some of the answers are unanswerable. Perhaps some require extreme measures to access.

What is not immediately obvious may require stepping off the beaten path, venturing into unknowns to discover. The answers we might be most curious to find may sometimes be those requiring the most effort to attain, and not come easily.

There are levels of access...

Some might want to simplify, suggesting shortcuts exists such as, "the truth is all within." However, what is required to access those truths within, may be far more complicated.

And let us consider a possibility: perhaps we're not worthy of access.

Or at least not yet.

How would we handle the power of absolute Truth?

If the power of creation were in our hands, would we truly be mature and responsible enough to manage it constructively and wisely?

If we've constantly been running towards the light, in fear of our own darkness, who's to say we'd possess the capability to harness our gifts in such a manner that we'd not cause complete choas out of the failure to integrate the wisdom awaiting in those shadowy depths we've run from?

If we've been pushing steadily for the birth of new worlds without fully embracing the wholeness of the existing, whose to say we'd not starve ourselves of the nourishment present in the here and now - fucking up the developmental process by wanting to race ahead impatiently due to the discomfort with where we're at in the current stage of our transforming ignorance?

Backtrack...

To what degrees are we willing to explore?

And more importantly, why?

If all the answers we sought were accessible - how high, far, and deep would we be willing to travel to find them?

And, would we truly be willing to accept the wholeness of what might be found there?

If we were fixated on finding the brightest of the light, would we also be willing to accept the darkest of the dark...?

If we were able to be granted access to the core source of our most potent creative power, would we also be brave enough to confront the outcome of an absolute misuse of that power and the insanity that might result of not yet being mature enough to handle what we asked for...?

It's easy to ask questions. And it's easy to think the answers could be known in a format recognizable to the mind we've become accustomed to operating from within. And, it's easy to underestimate the intensity of what we might actually be asking for - not knowing the full scale of how deep and far the rabbit hole goes.

Nonetheless, the journey proceeds.

Maybe, life has its inbuilt safety mechanisms protecting us from going farther and deeper than we're ready to. Maybe it's all a series of character development processes and tests, through which access to new levels is opened when we prove ourselves ready for them. Perhaps that's something each is to discover for themselves, on their own timelines.

To great heights we may climb, to deep depths we may dive, in search of the unknowns.

Yet, perhaps the greatest peace lies in pausing the search - taking comfort in the warmth of contentedness and appreciation for the here and now, and how blessed we are to be alive, well, and in the company of our beloveds...

Illuminati confirmed🤣😂😅.

Just kidding... I love the way you honestly expressed some of the mysteries of our present society and of our collective confused state. We are in the age of information yet we might be further from the thruth. I feel that the Earth is in a state of imbalance. Too much Ego, not enough love, not enough feminine energy, right hand not left, ect. Perhaps we are in a stage of getting ourself together, figuring things out so we can proceed to be a great society. This is what this article made me think about. Much Love, Peace and Blessings (((3j)))

Great post, I really like it. I have just stumbled upon this entry and it hit me as the opposite of what I was feeling at the moment. It's amazing how we will explore and expand as a species, searching to know all of the things and yet... there are those moments of silence, sharing with other that we value so much. It actually just helped me figure out the end of what I was writing. So, thanks for that :) Following for sure. Great find. Thanks!

Did You know?? in this reality we are all about 40-80 years behind in all around development ..... Some country's are far more underdeveloped, and all because of the powers to be that control what they try so hard to control every single day. Money, war, entertainment, food, power, gas, and all of your home's and lands. Even water...fuckin water yo..All of this should have been passed. We should be living in the Era of abundance with free energy and if we did a lot of these "problems" would be long gone and eventually paper money would be worthless again...So shhh because we can't let that happen now can we......

Oh yeah and +1 follows from me😎

even some of the most "advanced" science and technology in the public eye is a few hundred years behind... time warps are a bit of a mind fuck.

granted, we do have access to alot that could transform things quite quickly. t'is a challenging path to navigate, however - not as simple or easy as one would hope. we are at a tipping point, in the midst of great transformation, however. the problems - while they might appear to be worsening - are in the midst of being solved...

Great post upvoted and follow :-)

So well written, couldn't agree more bro.
Sometimes curiosity isn't a bless, but a curse...
You earned yourself a new follower!

Thanks for the great insight!

Interesting subject and questions raised here.
However, as long as God is left out of the equation, the search will not result in a satisfactory answer, whether one believes in God or not. In science talk: If we are missing data, the the observation makes no sense. Or if something does not make sense, we are missing data.

I tend to see it from another angle, one that I believe compliments your initial point. It's this dissatisfaction you speak of that drives our species into the cosmos to seek out the answers to the unknown. Our curiosity demands it, logic dictates it. On this planet, godly dogma is numerous, abstract and unassured without blind leaps of faith that have often crumbled under the tests of time. These men have no need to seek answers, for they are already assured of their answers. And yet, their teams are numerous and that large black void of space continues to expand with her infinite questions on offer. No man can claim to have the answers to the gods or the cosmos with objective certainty yet. However, I think we should be praising the humans who are actually seeking the data and filling in the gaps to the best of our ability in the meantime.

I can agree generally with this statement.
Emphasis for me is in considering all available data and see which make sense. Occam's Razor Style.

BTW, it is a myth that Christianity, or the Bible for this matter, are anti-science. It's just the opposite. The book is full of scientific assertions, and one can only grasp it's true meaning when studying the book in it's original languages. Because it's not well understood, it is dismissed by the majority of researchers - and searchers.

Thanks for your article and reply.

Perhaps that's something each is to discover for themselves, on their own timelines.

This really spoke volumes to me. So often we try to live by someone else's timeline and try to be on someone's level when we have our own level. I have my own timeline and that's the one I should live by. If it's my time to get, experience, lose, win, learn something then it's my time. I accept it.

Excellent and enlightening ideas you've shared with us here :)

Cool article. Steemit is the beginning of the rabbit hole.

Great post! Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Yes, life is an amazing mystery and I fully agree with you that peace might very well already be here where we are, now is all we have. Enjoy your day!

You want the truth? you can't handle the truth! 🙃

Upvoted and HIGHLY rEsteemed!
Thank you for a great addition to my page ; )

love it. the reality of our life are, we always work for future but we don't aware , actually we wait for our departure train on standing the present of station.

You really had me there til the end. Not that I entirely deny what you're saying, and I this post is great, but in reality sometimes there is no possibility for that. There is some peace in knowing that all things inevitably change because in the most dire times of the human condition this uncertainty prevails. Were it not for a harmony of chaos and cosmos, all things would be fixed forever which for some may as well be Hell itself.

10/10

Damn, I loved this piece. You did amazing job writing it. Reading it made me think of a book I just recently read called: Dispelling Wetiko, Breaking the Curse of Evil by, Paul Levy. He writes a lot about the ideas and questions you bring up in this post. I love his approach to the topic and the way he breaks it down. It is a philosophical text, so it can be dense at times, but it is worth it.

looks like a different approach from what I've been getting into, though does look interesting - added to the wish list and curious to check out...
