B.1. Potensi KEK ARON

    Menurut konsorsiun BUMN (PT Pertamina, PT Pelindo, dan PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda) sebagai pengusul Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus Arun Lhokseumawe, ada empat manfaat dari kehadiran KEK Arun di Lhokseumawe. Pertama, dengan adanya KEK bakal terjadi sinergi BUMN dan BUMD Aceh untuk menggali potensi sumber daya alam dalam rangka pengembangan industri migas, petrokimia, infrastruktur pelabuhan, dan agroindustri. Kedua, terciptanya lapangan kerja baru di Aceh yang diperkirakan 40.000 orang, baik skill maupun non-skill. Ini akan menurunkan tingkat pengangguran dan angka kemiskinan yang kini berada pada peringkat tujuh nasional, serta meningkatkan kesejahteraan rakyat Aceh. Ketiga, meningkatkan potensi devisa ekspor dari produk migas, petrokimia, dan agroindustri dari Aceh dengan nilai 2-3 miliar dolar AS per tahun, dimulai tahun 2020. Keempat, Provinsi Aceh akan menjadi salah satu leading dalam industri migas, petrokimia, agroindustri, pelabuhan, dan logistik di Indonesia.       Gubernur Aceh Irwandi Yusuf berjuang atas kepemikikan saham dari 25% menjadi 46% melalui BPMA (Badan Pengelola Migas Aceh) atas pengelolaan Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus Arun. Bagi hasil saham tersebut tanpa harus mengeluarkan modal lagi, cukup dengan areal wilayah dan aset yang sudah ada saat ini. B.2. Potensi Panas Bumi Seulawah Agam.

       PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy menandatangani perjanjian pemegang saham (shareholders agreement) dengan Perusahaan Daerah Pembangunan Aceh (BUMD Aceh) untuk pengembangan panas bumi Seulawah Agam di Aceh. Melalui proses lelang, Pertamina ditunjuk sebagai pemenang lelang Wilayah Kerja Seulawah Agam yang berada di di Provinsi Aceh yang memiliki potensi 165 megawatt. Pertamina telah menugaskan PGE untuk memenuhi persyaratan lelang dengan mendirikan perusahaan patungan bersama BUMD Aceh dan selanjutnya perusahaan yang dibentuk tersebut akan melakukan eksplorasi dan eksploitasi Panas Bumi berdasarkan Ijin Panas Bumi (IPB) yang akan diterbitkan oleh Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral. Untuk tahap awal direncanakan survei dan eksplorasi untuk menyusun pembangunan pembangkit listrik tenaga panas bumi (PLTP) unit I dengan kapasitas sekitar 55 megawatt dengan komitmen investasi untuk tahap eksplorasi sebesar 40 juta dolar AS sesuai dengan dokumen penawaran. Proyek ini sudah ditunggu-tunggu sejak enam tahun lalu dan dapat diselesaikan dalam waktu 3,5 tahun atau maksimal 4 tahun ke depan, sehingga krisis listrik di Aceh dapat segera tertangani, beban puncak kebutuhan listrik di Aceh berkisar 325 megawatt (MW), sehingga untuk melayani kebutuhan dengan baik idealnya PLN memiliki cadangan energi 50 persen dari kebutuhan itu atau sekitar 500 MW. Namun kenyataannya, saat ini energi yang tersedia hanya 340 MW. Proyek geothermal tersebut sebenarnya telah mulai digagas pertama kali pada tahun 2008. B.1. Potential Special Economic Zone ARON (KEK ARON)

      According to BUMN consortium (PT Pertamina, PT Pelindo, and PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda) as the proposed Special Economic Zone of Arun Lhokseumawe, there are four benefits from the presence of KEK Arun in Lhokseumawe. Firstly, there will be synergies between BUMN and BUMD Aceh to explore the potential of natural resources in the development of oil and gas, petrochemical, port infrastructure, and agro-industry. Second, the creation of new employment opportunities in Aceh, estimated at 40,000 people, both skill and non-skill. This will reduce the unemployment rate and the poverty rate that is now ranked at the national seven, and improve the welfare of the people of Aceh. Third, increasing the export potential of oil and gas, petrochemical and agro-industry from Aceh with a value of 2-3 billion US dollars per year, starting in 2020. Governor of Aceh Irwandi Yusuf fought over the stock ownership from 25% to 46% through BPMA (Badan Pengelola Migas Aceh) for the management of Arun Special Economic Zone. B.2. Seulawah Agam Geothermal Potential.

PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy signed a shareholders agreement with Aceh Regional Development Company (BUMD Aceh) for the development of geothermal Seulawah Agam in Aceh. Through the auction process, Pertamina was appointed as the winner of the auction of Seulawah Agam Work Area located in Aceh Province with 165 MW potential. Pertamina has assigned PGE to meet the auction requirements by establishing a joint venture with BUMD Aceh and the company will undertake the exploration and exploitation of Geothermal based on Geothermal Permit to be issued by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
