It is one thing to be a vessel and another a successful vessel. Why ?
are some vessels successful and others a failure. What is the difference between this two?
There are many secrets of a successful vessel, but we will x-ray four (4) of such secrets.
1.Successful vessels have Vision: Vision gives direction. What is your vision in life, as an organisation or drama ministry, what is your vision? Successful people see possibility in impossibilities when others see otherwise.
The Bible reveals that “where there is no vision, the people perish.” In all you do, ask for vision. Vision defines and dignifies purpose. Vision magnifies purpose. It tells the “why” we do things and why we put in efforts. Many talents have died and are lost without vision.
2.They know the need for People and value them. You cannot succeed very well as a single entity, you need people. “Where there are no people, the vision dies” Everyone might not give you money, but might have other values that you need. Recognise people, they become your “Social Capital” Learn to network with people.
It is also important to note that you do not need everyone in the pursuit of your vision. When God told Abraham to sacrifice his son, his wife and servant were are aware, but when he moved he moved with his servant and son only. But when he got to the foot of the mountain, he asked his servant to stay back while he went up with his son only. You must know the boundary of everyone in your pursuit of destiny. Don’t fight people who you think are not needed or adding to your life and ministry, just let them go.
3.Determination: (Daniel 1:8) Only determined vessels can stand even in the face of opposition. Some get discouraged and begin to change areas of service. The determination to stand and succeed begins from the heart. It is always difficult to confuse a determined man. You cannot go beyond the level of your determination.
4.The power of knowledge: Knowledge is power, so when a man gains knowledge he commands levels of authority. You cannot be greater than what you know and man becomes a slave to what he doesn’t know. As a vessel that needs to manifest, you need knowledge. You have to read books. You cannot do exploit without knowledge. The worst thing is claiming you have knowledge when you don’t. some people can spend money on shoes, clothes and other things but, cannot spend on the cheapest books.
Whatever it may cost you, get knowledge.
