Going Through My Hive Wrapped 2025 Stats

Hive stats can be pretty fun sometimes. It's easy to get caught up in life or Hive itself and completely forget about the numbers that have been slowly accumulating with every vote or post or comment. After being here for almost a decade, it's always interesting to see how habits shift and how the chain changes. I may not be as involved as I used to be, so I'm curious as to how these stats may have once look before. 2025 was a weird year for me. A lot of challenges and a lot of changes made. I put Hive aside a bit more and focused on some things I needed to do in life and still sometimes do that. This is the year that I finally decided to learn that Hive can be stepped away from sometimes, that it's not something I need to be on 24/7. That it's fine to simply not post sometimes, especially if you're not feeling it. Removing yourself from that FOMO over the reward pool.

Hive itself also made some larger changes throughout the year. It seems like people are waking up a bit more to the price decline and how funds are handled and spent in the pursuit of marketing and growth. I think we're on the cusp of potentially making some good changes there, but not quite there yet. This was a year where I mostly spent the time powering up, though challenges in life would ienvitably lead to me powering some down and picking things up again from a lower HP level. But recent price declines have again made 100% HP posts very favourable and rewarding. And with some of my things off Hive starting to pick up a bit more, I'm slowly getting into a better position where powering down and relying on Hive sometimes just isn't needed. Though I'm always thinking of those on here that do rely on it. 388 HBD in a year in something passive is quite a good deal, especially when it comes from doing something you enjoy: posting about your interests, creating things, or engaging with others with similar interests.

I do wish that 5,529 HP could've remained untouched. I'd love to see my account reach 10k HP at some point. And once those other pursuits continue to pay off I wouldn't mind reaching that point with some Hive purchases rather than posts to reach it. These low prices as of late are a very good deal, after all. With a USD price of around 10 cents, that brings one Hive at around 7 pence for me in GBP. Not bad at all! This brings me to that price discussion again: a lot of people aren't happy with the decline. A lot of people have come and gone in the past few years, whether it's price related or just finding something else in life to do instead. Price has never really bothered me that much. I don't see Hive as a get-rich quick crypto project. I don't see it the same way I used to either, as something that could revolutionise the Internet and social media. Everything is changing so stupidly fast these days that it's almost impossible to keep up, a mentally exhausting race that ultimately isn't worthy of attempting to follow.

Again going back to that realisation of slowing down a bit sometimes. It's a rewarding feeling to have that peace of mind. Still stressing about things from time to time, but knowing that the pursuit of something is just as important as having reached the end. To work towards something, even at a slow pace, still means you're moving in the right direction for you. High price or not, every post or comment or upvote makes a difference on here. And as we've seen, without a community then there's really no Hive. And price volatility in any market should be welcomed given the opportunity it brings (if you have the money to throw around, of course).

My votes received looks a bit insane given the number given, though throughout the year even at 4,685 that comes down to about 12 votes given to others per day. And the received end equates to about 498, though with the way many curation guilds operate, many of those are incredibly small dust votes that trail the curators and have done for many years, coming from accounts that probably aren't even active anymore. I suspect for many others they're seeing a similar ratio regarding given and received votes.

There was a time where I would've easily been able to post twice per day, having both film and photography posts to share each day from being so much more active with different things. Though I think I've balanced things out a bit more as the priorities shift. 318 posts throughout the year is still very surprising to me, given I managed to almost post once a day for the year. Where have I been finding this time?! Especially considering that there was a time where I had a 40 day streak in posting, according to the stats this way May, which makes sense given I was just preparing to move back to Armenia from Georgia, and that cold winter there had me inside with not a whole lot to do at the time. Everything changed after that sleeper train to Yerevan, though.

Hopefully there's a Hive still operating with plenty of people to interact with for next year. I'd like to see some of my own stats improve, mostly regarding the HP held and the comments side of things. Sometimes it's difficult to find the time to read through a number of posts and comment, easier to simply read and vote. I'd like to change that and give a bit more life to the post's of others. Here's to another year. ;^)

You call 318 posts 'slowing down'? You're a funny guy :^)

Where do you find hive wrapped stats? I know hivestats but can't find this section. Is it a different website/Dapp?

Check out the latest post from @emrebeyler (they created it), there'll be a link in it.

I'm not sure if Snaps count as comments or posts so some of those might be considered as posts. But I now rarely post on weekends, and I take more days off from Hive during the week than I ever have. Compared to previous years I've definitely slowed down a bit ;^)

I often compare Hive to Golos. Golos was trading around $0.001 in 2025. If HIVE had found support at $0.02, I would have been buying it constantly, for years.
