RE: Steemit experiment - My creative writing class signed up for Steemit

Haha great. Also fucked up because of own possible monetary gains, but if it gets them to write good stuff, who cares. You should make them mention the contest, so we remember if one of them makes it to the front page.

Sort:

That is quite rude. I have been here on Steemit for a long time now, and I enjoy it very much. Why not expose them to cryptocurrency at an early age as this is the future of money? I am definitely not doing this for my own benefit.

Sorry how am I being rude? I'm new here, I hope you having been around here longer doesn't matter on this platform. I'm pretty big on freedom of speech. I digress. How am I being rude pointing out the obvious? It is my understanding you get 3/4 of the dollar amount shown, already at 150$. As a teacher you hold a certain amount of sway over your students. I do think you do a great job teaching them cryptocurrencies. I'm here too after all. It's also great if you manage to motivate them to write this way.

It depends. I choose to make my posts 50/50. Half of my earnings I change to steempower. The rest I save up in my savings account. Firstly if you read the post you will see that I need at least $50 to pay as the first prize. This is not to benefit me but to benefit the platform. You will see that we are all very protective over this platform. I am all for freedom of speech. Still in the end the platform benefits as well as the students.
