Computer/Video-Games aren't that bad for young people in concerns of education!

Nowadays, many people say that computer games are very bad for young people and that they can even have a bad influence on the development of the youth! In my essay i will explain why this isn't totally true.

Young people enjoy playing computer games very much because its big fun playing them and its very easy to play them. For example if you want to play football you need friends to play with, a ball and a place where you can play. But you can play computer games alone and you don't need anything except a computer and the game. Also, many people enjoy playing computer games in the evening when they are already a little bit tired and they don't want to do something exhausting like doing sports. As you can see playing computer games has some big advantages!

Computer games can have a big influence on the development and the relationships of young people. For example if someone is addicted to computer games it will have a big influence on someone, because he will do nothing than playing computer games and therefor he won't go out very much and this has as a result, that he won't have much friends. And this is certainly very bad for the development of young people. But if you just play computer games sometimes, i don't think that they have a big or even a bad influence. Because there are also many games which you can play together with your friends and this can even be good for relationships.

If you do not overdo it, computer games don't have much consequences for school and work. A study showed that if young people wouldn't play computer games anymore they just would watch more TV, go out more often or maybe read a little bit more, but surely they wouldn't learn more. This shows clearly that computer games don't influence school and work.

I think computer games have become a main part of todays entertainment and therefor there are also some risks, mainly the risk of getting addicted. But if you play computer games in an acceptable extend i think they are even an enrichment. But, as most, the dose makes the poison!
