Akan proverbs: "The swimmer is the one the water takes."

AKAN PROVERB:
"Osudwarefo na nsuo fa no".

TRANSLITERATION:
"The swimmer, the water takes him."

MEANING:
It is the person most intimately connected with something that is most likely to suffer through it.

MY COMMENTS:
It is important to understand the two sides of this coin.

First, like a preacher once said "Why pray and curse the spirit of gonorrhoea, declaring it won't infect you. When you can simple avoid casual sex?". Factually, it is those who engage in casual sex, or just sex, who stand a chance of contracting gonorrhoea. So if you aren't involved in that you don't stand any risk. The man who lives on the desert stands little to no risk of drowning. The environment you put yourself in plays a major role in what happens to you.

The positive face to this same coin is that "It is people who invest themselves heavily in things that reap the most benefits off it". It is no surprise that people like @anaman, @tj4real and @kwakumax who spend hours daily helping people signup and create steemit communities . . . .are actually creating valuable profiles on steemit (heavy wallets. Lol). If you want the best returns from anything put in your best; a man will reap exactly what he sows.

So I will simply say, go on in life, avoid the negative waters that can drown your vision. And swim deep into the oceans that are your passions and dreams.
