What do you want? Everybody wants something.
I read an article on the "Huffpost", by Kathy Caprino. and I was surprised at the top 10 things people want:
Happiness
Money
Freedom
Peace
Joy
Balance
Fulfillment
Confidence
Stability
Passion
And then I read another article, and another article, and another article... they all said the same thing. It seems strange to me that we all covet what we think will make us happy, grant our freedom, or instill passion, but I rarely hear that people achieve their goal. We usually get what we focus on, so if you are thinking that you will never have happiness, you won't. If you are focusing on the negative, that is what you will get, and visa-versa. It is hard to quit smoking or stay on a diet because people are focusing on the thing they are trying to get rid of; sounds tricky.
Do people say, "I've wanted happiness my entire life, and I never got it?"
Do people say, "I've wanted peace my entire life, and I never got it?"
Do people say, "I've wanted stability my entire life, and I never got it?"
Maybe that's not really what they wanted...
If you want happiness, then choose one thing to start with... "I want to be happy when I wake up in the morning" or "I want to be happy when I go to the grocery store." If you can't be happy with one of those tasks, then happiness is not what you want.
If you want passion, then pick what you want to be passionate about, etc...
Slow down... think about it, and be specific about what you want.
Happy thinking!
Thank you for reading my post... enjoy your day!
