Ha ha, so true, Joan - Mollie is a golden retriever who senses realities that Si can't even begin to imagine. There's a back story there I'll probably share eventually. It's all about liminal experiences - crossing thresholds :)

With name of Mollie I related immediately, my neighbours golden Labrador Retriever named Molly made one feel she was capable of knowing inner challenges, sometimes smell out the fear or illness approaching, uncanny love, furry friends bring into our lives.
My own Rhodesian Ridgeback Rex sniffed out cancer in my husband, 'sending' him for check up which cleared using Brachytherapy. Never checked by human doctor previously, it was the dog who insisted.
Throughout my life I have had a constant guide and friend in dogs, hearing your story would be a wonderful read I am sure.
Have a wonderful Sunday John.
I can't imagine humans without dogs - they've always been part of our lives and yes, they seem to help us in ways where our own senses fail and protect us. Amazing story about Rex. Thanks for the encouragement, Joan
Most my life have a dog or two in the home, life is empty without them around.
Don't know what I'd do without Abbey, the other female in my life - part Golden Retriever and mostly Poodle, she had dark brown wavy fur/hair and just doesn't give the paw, she likes to hold hands :)
Each shares different traits, adopted Woody current little guy in the home also enjoys you holding paws. lies on you more than next to you, a pitbull terrier most are wary of, don't know why.
