What's hard is not the idea. I get the ideas essentially as easily as breathing in. What's hard is writing the lead paragraph so that when I'm done the reader says, "wait, where's the rest?" These aren't great for that--the first is better than the second--because they don't necessarily propel the story forward. The second one, number four, is actually almost a complete story by itself. Not what I want. More practice is the only answer.
