Thanks, Arthur. I didn't want it to end - once you get in and the momentum is going, you don't want to leave the characters. This one was more personal since the settings are all local and I didn't have to do much more than follow these people around. I was honestly surprised by the outcome - I never saw Marcus with anybody but Clare from the start but the relationship with Sarah took over and it makes sense - Clare and he were guides to each other and their love was ethereal. Also I never had so many strong women and weak men. What does that say? I've written novels with a female protagonist but none as strong as these three - Tess, Clare and Sarah. Poor Marcus, talk about conflicted, lol. He'll never win a fight with Sarah but I don't think he cares :)

I know what you mean as I had exactly the same happen to me. Robert was meant to be the hero of my story, but then Cherine turned out to be stronger than him. Then...Samatha is born and from when she is born, Robert puts her in charge while he fights a war and she arrests him when he returns. Thereafter she grew to be more and more loving and much stronger than I would have ever imagined.
In a lucid dream, I exclaimed to a girl that she is beautiful and the sudden joy on her face kept me puzzled ever-after. If she was created by my mind, how could she be so surprised and delighted? It seems that when we create characters, a part of our mind is reserved for them and if we love them, they can grow strong enough to choose the path they take. If so, I hope they are all still 'alive' as I have grown to love all, men, women and aliens. It is probably what makes writing such a pleasure for me, as I have never been as intimate with anyone in so-called 'real life'.

It is probably what makes writing such a pleasure for me, (my electricity went off so carrying on this next day) as I have never been as intimate with any person in (what we call 'real') life as I have with all my characters...female, male and alien.
I was upset when the electricity went off yesterday. Luckily I had cooked, beans, some lentils and celery... and because of the mood I was in, I tossed in about a tot of tequila.
Was...interesting :)
