Hi I live in France and do not have a lot of opportunity to watch Baseball. All I can say, is the one season I had the possibility to watch when ESPN America was available on my TV, I watched every single game which were broadcasted. I never felt boredom and was always happy to endeavour the subtleties of this sport. Some might say it is like a check game, to me it is sometimes also like golf. The only difference, is the attendance who can make some noise. Pitchers and Batters have a high capacity of concentration and sometimes I see that some hits are voluntarily missed for strategic reason. The interesting aspect is the defense beginnig with the pitcher who needs to eliminate the only guy facing them at the moment, whene non of the opponents team have a batter on the bases.
It is also thrilling since you never know how some hits will be catched or whether a double-play will happen. The best moments if you are in favor of the attacking team is will there be a grand-slam, or on the other hand will the pitcher have a no-hitter.
My point is that strategy and everything that can happen during the game including milestones for the books make Baseball pretty interesting and relevant to watch, also the extra-innings are great. However, most game have an overall duration of 2 and a half hours not 4 except real big game with extra-innings as there alway must be a winner.
I also love all the other US Sports. Just living on the wrong side of the ocean ;-)
