RE: Thought Bubble Thursdays #5 - Nobody Stays Dead in the Comics

I'm glad that I added to your knowledge! :D I do get that it would be devastating to discover a character they grew up with suddenly die just like that. But, isn't it like in life? Don't they want to have the opportunity to appreciate the character for what it meant throughout one's life? I mean, I would hate it if for example Spider-Man stayed the same 50 years later. People grow and characters should grow with them. If they don't like the character that takes up the mantle, then it's on the writer to make the new character more compelling. One could always move on to a new character while holding the deceased character dear in their hearts.

i have that belief also and if a character stays the same and same over years i kinda bored with it but i have seen so many times especially when watching superhero films and series a lot of people complaining when writers or whatever try to evolve a bit the character

I know right! Times change, so the characters should change with it. It's one thing about people bitching about the slight changes, but it's another to stagnate a character. It's a tough balance, but one that has to be made if they hope to move forward.
