“There Is No Life In Writing!”

“What are you gonna do with writing?”
“Hindi ka bibigyan ng magandang buhay ng pagsusulat.”
(“Writing won't give you a good life.”)
“Walang kakuwenta-kuwenta ang pasusulat.”
(“Writing doesn't matter.”)

I am not inside a circle of family which supports my writing, I may not hear those from my family, but I do hear those words from a lot of people. “Anong mangyayari sa ‘yo sa pagsusulat?” (“What will happen to your life by writing?”)

Did you know that over 6,000 companies and business men/women are looking for writers almost every year? Nope, that is never a consistent number but it is, if I had it right, never less than that.

Do you think the world will ever be alive without writing? The news you hear every minute, the movies you watch, the songs you listen to, the books you read, the magazines you buy—this blog that you are reading. These were just few examples of writing. And you are telling me writing does not matter?

I was depressed and suicidal, writing saved me.
No one knew how to continuously talk without giving much of an idea in a news, writing saved them.
A bookworm is bored, writing saved him.
The magazine is dull without descriptions, writing saved it.
A lady don't know how to express herself verbally, writing saved her.
You wanted to earn through Steemit, writing saves you.

There are a lot of people who would love to write can never learn how to write, and you don't find writing relevant? Other people pay just to have someone write their thoughts and publish it in a book without the writer's name, and you're telling me there is no life in writing?

Maybe writers earn lower than an average earner, but if it's what saves them then you should never belittle writing. There is no life in writing because writing is life.

A writer can quit writing and still be as good as how they are if they decided to write again. That, dear is a special talent. Because, once a writer, always a writer.
