we were colourful
i was painted
she was too
we were unique
we were carefree
we were opportunist
we were uneven
we didn't try to be God, neither did we do things in his place
we were love
it was us
we bled and we never healed
we were fighters yet, never won a battle
alas! we gave
we were strength and we strived
we were faded
we were called young
I know who I was, I can tell you who I may have been, but I am, now, only in this line of words I write.
Author: Ursula K. Le Guin
i can tell the truth in that lie, i can keep the truth from that lie, i can hide the words but the heart can not be hidden from the truth.
