There are many ways to nurture happiness in your life. It is only when you look at the big picture, that you will truly see how important it is to nurture yourself.
There is no way that we can fully understand what the true meaning of happiness is without first answering the question "Where do you find it?" Without being able to answer this question you will never be able to really enjoy yourself and live a fulfilling life.
The first place to find happiness is inside your own mind. This is a true statement, because if you feel happy, it is not simply because of the things in your life, but it is because of the way you think about them. If you feel great joy for being able to take care of your family and have a great job, then you probably don't feel this way because you have to go to work everyday to support these things. However, if you can harness your inner joy and find that joy in everything around you, then you will be able to live a life that gives meaning to everything that you do.
Finding happiness, then, is also finding that joy and fulfillment in the present. If you are able to find something that gives you pleasure and excitement, you can use it as a stepping stone towards making more money, or building more wealth in your life. There is no limit to what you can accomplish. Just keep in mind that you will only achieve great things if you are willing to take action and make the necessary changes to make this happen.
One of the most important places to nurture happiness is through the way you spend time with yourself. Think about the last time you did something that was enjoyable for you. How long did it take for you to feel truly satisfied with what you had done? What were some of the best aspects of that experience?
For example, you might have loved the feeling of spending time alone, and not being distracted by the distractions of other people. You might have felt great about the fact that you were able to do something that gave you pleasure, yet the thought of doing it again may bring up thoughts of regrets.
It is very important that you are able to see that there is a difference between the way that you feel and the way that you think, and nurture happiness where you find it. If you can identify the negative thinking that keeps bringing you down and find something to replace it, then you will have achieved happiness in a sense that is closer to the feeling that you really deserve.
