Yesterday, when before bed I look at the city from balcony at around 12 am, to my surprise all the lights were still on!Usually they are off at 9:30-10 pm already.The special occasion was the celebration of Chinese New Year☺️
I remember only 6-7 years ago, when the fireworks were not yet forbidden, you could witness a magical moment on Chinese New Year’s night when literally the whole sky was filled with different kind of fireworks, wherever you would look!I have never seen anything like that in my life, I witnessed it once when I studied at Zhejiang university and lived in a dormitory with my sister.We ran out the room, went up to the highest floor of the building and were standing there for 10 minutes watching all this beauty.I will never forget this moment!
This year, CNY fell on the night from 15th of February to 16th, on the first moon day of the 1st Chinese lunar calendar, exactly at 5:06 am (February 16), 2018 is considered to be the 4715th!
