Best of Steemit Every Day
Every day, I bring you eight posts you should think hard about upvoting and supporting. These are quality posts, well written and good examples of the best the community has to offer. Please consider checking them out, and if you agree, love them up.
Today some love went to a couple of whales, because quality is quality, and some of the whales got where they are by writing about things other than STEEM. Though not as many as I’d like. We have new writers to welcome, as well, so on with the show.
Today's Best
Writing (Fiction): Once Upon a Time (A Fable) by @giantbear. I love good fairy-tale fiction. Once upon a while back, I even wrote a book of them. This is a good story, and worth the read. Remember, supporting fictionists is our duty. There aren’t a lot of us around.
Writing (Nonfiction): What Goes Around Comes Around by @tj4real. An excellent example of magazine-quality writing. Take a minute and enjoy. Plus, it’s a great story.
Writing (Craft): Medicating Writer’s Block Through Steemit by @kendewitt. Interesting take on defeating writer’s block by writing Steemit posts. Seriously, who else is going to pay you to vanquish your demons? Very good comment about...comments, as well.
Steemit community: Is Steemit Addictive? by @condra. This is the funniest thing you’ll read on Steemit today. I promise you. Such good writing.
Introduceyourself: Just Another Writer Wandering Around by @modernjomarch. If you don’t know who Jo March is, Google is your friend. Or you could just follow our newest scribe on the platform. Or, you know, both. Yeah. Both is good.
Steem: My Steemit Weekly Financial Report by @aaronmda. Clever idea. If you want to see how Steemit can work for a n00b minnow just like us, here’s a very close look, behind the scenes.
Photography: High Risk High Reward Photographing by @mauricemikkers. Not just another series of beautiful photographs, this one gets up close with the process of creation, the gear, and the risks. This post, people, took HOURS. Take few minutes, read and reward, won’t you?
Special Prize: History: Lifting the Siege of Mafekeng by @lesmor. I love history above most things, and African history is always appreciated, as I know so little about it. This is a good primer on an important event. Take a moment and enjoy.
As always, suggestions for posts to honor are gratefully accepted.
Rules of the Best Of:
I always benefit from reading your posts and discovering new people. You are performing a valuable service to this site. I wonder how we can promote you more because I know a lot of people would profit from learning about good writers on steemit
I wouldn't mind. I'm still working out the formula for getting more than $1 a post. Heck, I have a goal to break $.25 three posts in a row, which I have never done. My writing money comes from other sources. This is just fun.
These posts are great! Keep at it and it will get better. It takes time to build a following! Just keep Steemin'!
Right on. I will. These have been fun.
You deserve better, my friend, and I'll mention you to some of my friends and encourage them to mention you to theirs...and you get the idea :)
Your encouragement is awesome! We need more people like you being active like this! Thanks for supporting each other!
Thank you for this post. I honestly appreciate your effort. Have a great week ahead.
I'm very glad you enjoyed it. The effort is fairly minimal, really. It's not like I'm not on the site all day anyway. And it's fun to find good stuff and tell other people about it.
Thanks for the recommendations Cristof. I'm an inactive minnow and usually find myself doing #memechallenge or reading something. Anyway, before I fade away into a bucket of chum I'd like to nominate @jrhughes , she has a great fiction series going called "Seed".
You are the first one to nominate. Thank you very much. I'll check her stuff out.
Thanks for mentioning me. This post series is a great idea and well written. Resteeming!
Thank you! Very kind of you to comment!
Great post! Thanks for leading me to some good works! That post by @condra is the funniest thing I have read in a while!
Right? That's what I thought. I'm so guilty of being addicted to Steemit.
I have registered to the "Minnows project" in order to support my game. At the same time though I started receiving valuable up votes, therefore i decided to be some kind of curator and help spread the love... I have up voted this post with its power. You deserved it for some time.
Thank you! That means a lot to me.
Thanks for the shout out!
why thank you for the mention my friend. Greatly appreciated. followed upvoted and ReSteemed. :)
