What Does it Mean to be Sovereign and Why is My Name in All Capital Letters?

in #writing8 years ago

I recently saw a video with Killer Mike where he was doing a Q&A with some others for the Black Lives Matter community. He started a rant that got him booed regarding in essence, how futile it was to fight a system you depend on.

So what was the point?

He started by asking the crowd how many of them grew their own food followed by how many of them had kept their money in an African American owned bank. The crowd grew restless as they could see the very obvious point he was trying to make, you cannot truly fight against something you depend on.

This is one of the main reason I stopped protesting in my youth. Two options really, you can spend your energy fighting against something or spend it creating something better to transition into. I chose the latter and started dedicating my free time to learn more about the system I was born into and the possible ways to liberate myself and others from it.

From my research as best as I can interpret it.

Any official document you receive will have your name in all capital letters, the average person will tell you it does not mean anything but I disagree. Fact is that name in all caps is the corporation created at your birth that you agree to represent with each signature. Hence at the beginning of each court session "are you CODY DIETZ...?". You have to respond yes due to how the system is and "contempt of court" would most likely be used if you remained silent. This is due to all of these things being sorted out long before any of us or our ancestors were alive, the judge and judicial system also depend on this to survive so do not expect to sway them.

What is the need for this?

Fact is the human being that is you can only be prosecuted under Common Law. From my understanding Common Law is basically two aspects, hurting someone or depriving them of property. Everything else requires some type of coercion in my opinion. Feel free to dive into all of this further it is really good stuff, starting in the dark ages and creating rights of individuals.

So how do we become sovereign?

This touches on some very deep things and has to be studied in detail as there are many levels, Sadhguru has some good thoughts on this. At an obvious one you need to be independent from any reliance on what you are attempting to be sovereign from, or you will never be truly free. This is extremely difficult in my current situation, everything I need to survive is provided for me by outside sources that I am contractually and personally bound to in many ways. I am therefor a cog in the machine and am just pushing keys on a laptop for my own entertainment.

It is ok to dream right?

Fortunately the above has been accomplished by Auroville on some level, however not perfect. My goal is to attempt something locally using blockchain tech to govern the whole thing. There needs to be an identity system and way to track community involvement to provide the right amount of network weight to each individual when making procedural decisions. This has obviously been executed well to me for the most part here on steemit. We here are a sovereign community with no dependence from any centralized outside force. So to translate that into a group of local people owning and operating a shared space is a dream of mine.

Do you think it is possible?

Let me know in the comments below, thanks!

So follow on your concept that the national debt is backed up by human labour.
The more people you have, the more debt you can raise, because you have more collateral.

If you want to be able to borrow more money, you need more people, and you need those people to be working.

Unemployment cuts into your ability to borrow, because the labour aspect is lessened.

There are two ways to increase your labour pool - you can breed it, or import it.

And here I'm assuming this is an American situation - so for America to be able to increase its debt, it need more people - a lot more people.
With birth rates declining among the middle and working classes, importing labour is the most viable solution.

If American debt is indeed backed by the labour of its citizens, and America is planning on borrowing more, to fund wars etc, then it is going to need a lot of Mexicans to come and work, and pay taxes, to back that debt.

It will be interesting to see how Donald Trump handles that.

Alternatively, you could just annex more countries :p

Have you seen the movie or heard of "free state of Jones"?

Unfortunately not

Hmm, seems like a movie I would want to watch sometime

It takes some time to pick up but I highly recommend it. One of those fact is stranger than fiction movies. All based on the life of Newt Knight, a real revolutionary individual.

I feel like the issue with immigration is the undocumented citizens. I am sure that most "illegals" are willing to have some form of ID, unless they are criminal in which case they benefit from anonymity. This goes into my mention of the need to identify and track labor and community efforts. The current system is clearly dated and needs to adapt to the situation, it will be interesting in how the new administration handles it but I tend to not think government is going to fix itself.

I agree the main thrust of the issue seems to be undocumented immigrants.
One solution is to make it easy for them to cross the border, gain documentation so they can work in the US.

They can then work legally, pay taxes, and take some of their earning back across the border to their families. That would solve so many problems for a lot of people.

Agreed, what do you think the motivation is to prevent that from already being in place? Out of curiosity.

I think that Americans just don't like the concept of Mexicans (or foreigners) being in their country. This seems especially true in the southern border states.
And this probably goes back to the early wars between America and Mexico.

Thank you for your insights, I had not taken that into consideration. Under those circumstances it may even be genetic, according to this study.

Keep working, stop paying, the only folks that get mad are the folks manipulating us with the system.
As for the freeman on the land, there is a better option, what this theory contends may well be true, but it won't get your ticket dismissed.
@marcstevens has the monkey wrench if you'll take the time to learn the questions,...http://marcstevens.net

Will check it out when I get home, thanks.

Very thought proving. Thanks for writing this.

Not a problem, thank for reading :)
