These are dreams....awakening into reality

I have a certain proclivity for writing but of course as all writers may know, laziness can get the best of us. I'm not a professional writer or author (depends on how you see it) but I love to put my thoughts and feelings on paper, unwind after a stressful period, let my creative juices flow. Writing helps me deal...just generally, when life gets overwhelming (which is everyday for a young lady in Zimbabwe).
I have a knack for storytelling and my imagination cannot be curbed easily. So on that note, I finished my first short story or novelette(whatever you want to call it)! It took me a few months..And now it's taking me a few more months to gather the courage to actually get it published somewhere. But I'm getting there. I might actually make it a whole novel. This book cover design I also did myself(credit to Canva of course, I have no talent in drawing). Some day I will use it, definitely.
The story is about a young modern woman who discovers that she is from an ancient lineage of Rain Queens. Generally, (so that I don't spoil the story for anyone who will read it later) it's about a woman coming into her being, discovering her power and prowess. Reviewers will probably call the author (that would be me) a feminist, and I won't really mind. Because after all, I am a woman and I am for women, everyday and all the way. This is most definitely one of my dreams, and I'm working towards making it happen (no matter how long it takes).
So here's to dreams.... and watching them wake from their slumber. I dream of being the girl that all other girls look up to. I dream of being a success that my generation will always refer to. I dream of inspiring somebody else to awaken their dreams and light them on fire! I dream of a generation that is not afraid to dream... Because after all, what we dream of being is actually who we are inside...
