Hm, I imagine this is totally a product of your experiences, and how you've developed connections to things throughout your life. Sometimes things just feel right. Like playing a video game with a controller versus a computer. As an engineer, I had to use a certain type of paper, and I would go to great lengths to find the exact type of engineering paper I was used to, regular graph paper just felt odd.
