Have you thought of using a lapel microphone or even ear pods that come with a mic? I see a lot of people on YouTube use them successfully and if you already have one it wouldn't cost you anything. Just a thought

I don't have a lapel microphone, but I do have a podcast mic! Maybe that would be better since it's specifically for speaking? I don't have the money to buy any new equipment right now, but I really appreciate the honest feedback!

I've got a lapel mike that just plugs into my phone... it actually works super well and I think it was only $15. In Premiere Pro you upload the two different files (audio and video) and it syncs them up really easily....

I had no problems with the audio personally, but I really like that everyone is trying to help out, that's really sweet.

I have a mac and use fcp so I am not sure if that works the same way! I will look into it though!

I know what you mean, they can be pretty obnoxiously bulky, but the audio pop is definitely distracting from your otherwise entertaining narrative.
