It's amazing how often writers, myself included, lose sight of something as simple as purpose. I know I'm guilty of this, in my science fiction especially as it's far too easy for me to get wrapped up in describing and explaining how various pieces of technology function through the narrative. Awesome piece, and I'm glad this is one of the ones I get to come back to.
