When people ask me where to start writing, I tell them - it's not rocket science. I wasn't the first to advise.
You don't have to think about writing. You don't have to plan every plot point in your novel. Nor do you need to have a vision for your future career as a published author.

I do it on the long bus to work. Most people prefer to write in the morning before they wake up, but they have to. You may want to write before bed or during your lunch break.
