You share exactly my take on this topic! :)

When we chose to enter this Universe of Separation we decided to handicap ourselves with the thinking mind aka ego. So the entire purpose of our thinking mind is to create Separation, it cannot help it. It is the source of all fear, doubt and worry, hence of duality.

So as you said, our thinking mind is constantly attempting to solve problems without realizing that itself creates them in the first place. A vicious circle to keep itself intact...
