RE: Exploring Zaanse Schans in Netherlands

in #worldmappin6 months ago

Such awesome pictures! Believe it or not I've been there before, but it's been quite some time now! I love the Netherlands, such a pretty country. They have so much history and the landscapes are beautiful. I love the architecture too... Now I feel like making a journey to Europe again. I've been meaning to for years, but timing just hasn't worked out!

Wow that’s great to hear! Did you manage to see everything and was everything open that day? Unfortunately, the sawmill was closed but everything else was open. What did you like most? Oh yes that’s true, Amsterdam is partly very touristic and it is the perfect change to see more of the traditional culture! Hope you can come back to explore some places :) Netherlands should also especially interesting for you, since your ancestor charlemagne was active here!

I think everything was open that day, but the ticket system was different I believe. It's been too long! I still haven't visited Charlemagne's tomb either, so Germany may have to be fit into the trip as well!

I first made the mistake of visiting a mill individually, but it was still worth it to buy the combination ticket afterwards. I also know a legend which says that could be born in a mill in the west of Germany :)
